Cow Harbor Warrior Weekend Countdown
The Cow Harbor Warrior Weekend was created as a way to raise funds and awareness for the veteran organizations that support the advancement of our OIF/OEF Wounded Warriors in the Tri-State area. During the 22 weeks leading up to the 4th Warrior Weekend, Cow Harbor Warriors will have a succession of awareness activities and fund raising events designed to publicize not only the Cow Harbor Warrior Weekend, but, more importantly, the reasons why it is so incredibly necessary to hold this event – including letting the public know about issues affecting veterans.

The Capt. Joseph J. Boccia Jr. USMC 4-Mile Warrior Run

Saturday - September 9th - 7am
The Capt. Joseph J. Boccia Jr. USMC 4-Mile Warrior Run as part of The Suffolk County Veteran Run Series. The race is participation-based and will serve to publicize all series races in the hopes of increasing turnout for all associated events. The goal is to make each participating race as successful as it possibly can be, thereby making the biggest positive impact for our local veterans. Those who run and/or volunteer in seven out of eight races in the Series will receive a participation medal. Challenge Coins will be presented to qualifying participants in January 2018 at a special ceremony which will include their family and members of each race committee.

"I can’t thank the Cow Harbor Warriors enough for their tremendous efforts on behalf of the Semper Fi Fund and the post-9/11 wounded, critically ill and injured service members and their families who we serve. Because of the generosity of people like you, the Semper Fi Fund has fulfilled more than 123,000 grants totaling more than $136 million in direct assistance – you should all be extremely proud of the direct effect you are having on so many families who have sacrificed so much on behalf of us all." - Karen Guenther
